NHS Digital Technical Connectathon

NHS Digital is delighted to invite you to register to attend a Technical Connectathon on 14 March, in Leeds City Centre. Bringing together healthcare IT system users and developers. The event will focus on interoperability testing, problem resolution and learning more about FHIR APIs.

The Connectathon will allow attendees to test a range of FHIR APIs in trial implementation settings, and work together to solve problems. There will also be the chance to hear from a range of programmes about some of NHS Digital’s current work, via presentations and workshops which will be held throughout the day.

The following programmes will have APIs available on the day:

  •  CareConnect
  •  Organisation Data Service
  •  E-Referral Service

Presentations will be delivered by:

  •  National Record Locator Service
  •  Digital Child Health

Note: Due to the high levels of interest and limited spaces available, please register via our dedicated page by COB Friday 9 March 2018.

There is no charge to attend the Connectathon and catering is provided.

An official invitation will be forwarded to confirmed attendees with specific details about the location (including how to get there, parking and accessibility), the structure of the event (including an agenda), and a list of presentations.

Who should attend?

The event is open to anyone who is interested testing or learning more about FHIR APIs, however, it is mainly targeted at:

  •  Developers from healthcare system providers
  •  Supplier Implementation Community
  •  INTEROPen Community (including BCS, HL7 UK, TechUK) NHS & Social Care Service Organisations
  •  NHS and Social Care Service Organisations

  •  The event will allow developers to test their latest products with technical support on hand (provided by NHS Digital)
  •  It will surface best practice use of FHIR and enable participants to share learning
